Prince William Sound: Chapter 1

Well friends,
It's time to book a flight up to AK. We have discovered a slice of backcountry paradise that needs to be shared! The Chugach offers endless terrain right from the boat. With bluebird-50 degree days, fresh air & the stillness provided by the sound, our trip was just what the doc ordered.

faces to the sky with tongues out waiting for the perfect snowflakes. they land. smiles. winter is gripping strong, despite it's partner in crime creeping southward. we've had an AMAZING stretch of skate skiing this past week..hoping to get out on the sound this weekend with splitboards on board.
we just found out that both of us will be traveling to teshekpuk lake in NPRA (national petroleum reserve-alaska) to do shorebird work for a few weeks this summer. more smiling. 5 weeks left 'til summer, 5 inches of freshies in the driveway (uhnsta-uhnsta), 5 hours of darkness. ok...maybe not down to 5 yet. but soon!

We spent three relaxing days in Boulder, UT with my grampaw. We dedicated a morning walk to finding turkeys and arrowheads. It was a relief to get down to redrock country. We made it back just in time for a 2 foot dump at Brighton. It's too bad we didn't miss our flight back to Anchorage. It just keeps getting harder to say goodbye!
